Artist Statement
When brainstorming for my final project, I had a hard time deciding what I actually wanted to photograph. Even a common theme became a difficult decision. The final theme of my set became a story of fishing with my family for the day. This made my project more personal to me and helped me evolve my project to what I think that is a combination of small focuses on, landscapes, portraits and composition. By having variations in my set, it made shooting more interesting and enjoyable to shoot. I felt that by having the variation I have helped tell a story more effectively than it would have if I had done otherwise. I shot my project over the course of a weekend, at a couple different areas of water all around Cobbosseecontee Lake in the Kennebec Valley area.
